Because they are not signed by an SSL authority, a warning message will appear in a user's browser when they access a site protected by a self-signed certificate. For this reason, we advise you to use a self-signed SSL just for testing and development needs. When your site is ready to go into production and serve an active audience, we can install a signed RapidSSL certificate in its place.
