How We Began

Canvas Dreams first began in 1998 by providing print design and translation services for a diverse client base in the U.S. and Europe. As our customer base continued growing, we began offering web hosting services. In 2005 we established our own, secure web hosting and colocation space in downtown Portland, where today we host and support our own servers and equipment.

In February 2007 we opened a new office and sister data facility in Edinburgh Scotland, to better the support the needs of our European customers. Canvas Dreams UK Ltd. is a full-service hosting and colocation provider, and is continuing the Canvas Dreams tradition of caring support and technical expertise in the European hosting market. Canvas Dreams UK Ltd. also provides backup nighttime support for our U.S. customers, ensuring our operation truly is 24/7.

Our language services division, Oregon Translation, has grown dramatically and offers translation and editing services in more than 30 languages through a network of Pacific Northwest translators. In May 2008, Edinburgh Translation was established and now provides dedicated translation services directly to the European market.
